It would be nice if the thread size and other specifications was mentioned for this part. It has two 5/16-18 threaded holes that I drilled out and tapped to 3/8-16 threads into so that I could bolt this to a manifold that is for a Super E. I then beveled the manifold side of the adapter port edge with a radius before pressing on the adapter so that the air flow had a smoother transition into the manifold.
Overall this is a great part for an underrated carb.
After using the standard style Drag Specialties adapter that uses the less secure slip fit style mounting for years on ironheads, this piece gives a much more secure fit, meaning there is less chance of the carb being ejected on a backfire, or even getting a leak from your leg pressing against it too hard.
On top of that, it brought the carb in almost an inch closer to the bike, meaning my leg has that much more room.
Installed easily using my shop's bench vise as a press and after about a thousand miles of asphalt and dirt road use there are no leaks and my carb is more supported than ever.
The only way to mount a CV (my preferred carb) on a 2-bolt manifold moving forward.
