Will not work with Mikuni HSR 42

Just got my pull twist choke cable and carburetor mounting bracket with choke cable mount.
I run a Mikuni HSR 42 with adapter to run stock mounting air cleaner and not a stock CV carb. The choke cable is the same for both carburetors, Mikuni has you re use your stock CV choke cable. The problem I ran in to is the choke cable is not long enough to rotate under and around the bigger Mikuni to the choke cable mount on the carburetor mounting bracket.
I ended up just mounting it on the left side stock choke cable bracket.
The cable works great and has two positions full on and 3/4 on.
I would suggest knurling on the on the pull nob to make it little easier on old timers (I'm 67) and an optional 2" longer cable for use with the Mikuni HSR 42 and combination carburetor/choke mounting bracket.
Over all happy with the choke cable.

CV carb bracket

I like the overall design but on the bracket I received the head breather holes were .100" too close together and had to be enlarged for the bracket to be mounted. Additionally, the choke mounting position interferes with the rear head breather and could have a better location. It also forces a tight enough bend radius on the choke cable that requires additional force to activate the choke. My assumption is that this will shorten the life if the connection between the choke knob and the cable.

Better than the squeeze ketchup bottle

Works well. Wish it was thought of years ago.

The only thing I didn’t think about is that it’s difficult to adjust the choke on the fly being on the same side as the throttle. if you’re riding an old temperamental POS like mine. Also I have a mini bread box air cleaner, not sure how well it would work with a stock ham can or any larger sized air cleaner
